Welcome to InKing Royalty’s February Blog Hop! Stampin’ Up!’s Occasions catalog is filled with amazing products to help you celebrate birthdays in style. From festive balloons to birthday blooms, there’s something for everyone.
Today’s It’s Your Birthday Blog Hop is filled with inspiring projects that share great birthday ideas. We are excited to share what we’ve made and hope you’ll find great inspiration from our talented team members in this hop. After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.
This blog hop was perfectly timed as my calendar is heavy with upcoming birthdays, starting with my oldest daughter’s birthday. She is 27 TODAY and on the verge of making some changes in her life, and I am praying this is a great year for her.
Below is the card I made for her using the Number of Years stamp set and the coordinating Large Number Framelits Dies. The fun polka dot paper is from the MUST-HAVE Birthday Bouquet Designer Series Paper.
On Friday, my stepdad is celebrating his birthday. He has always been a second dad to me, and I wanted him to know that I am lucky to have him in my life.
Below is the card I made for him using the Going Global stamp set and the Going Places Designer Series Paper Stack. The inside sentiment is from the Something to Say stamp set. I topped it off with the Sunburst Thinlits Die, one of my FAVORITE items in the Occasions catalog.
I’ve made other round cards in the past and for those I used the easel back design. For this one, I decided to use a brad to connect the front and back to make it swing open.
Thank you for stopping by today! I hope you’ll hop along to the next stop on the blog hop, Shawn Olivera at ShawnStamps. There’s lots of inspiration to be found in this group, and you don’t want to miss it!
Thank you for hopping along with us. If you get stuck during the Blog Hop, please use this line-up as a guide:
Welcome to the Pals Blog Hop for February 2016. We are thankful you stopped by to take a look at our new 2016 Blog Hop monthly themes.
This month we are CASE-ing a project shown in a current Stampin’ Up! catalog. After all, with the Annual, Occasions and Sale-a-Bration catalogs available right now, there is much inspiration to choose from. We hope you enjoy our creations.
You may just be starting the Blog Hop or may have come from the previous link from the lineup on the Pals Blog Hop listing shown below. The full lineup will help you move along from blog to blog so you may see all the projects.
For my project, I chose to CASE a card on Page 16 of the Occasions catalog, using the Bloomin’ Hearts Thinlits Die and Bloomin’ Love Stamp Set, shown here:
Because I’m a fan of black and red for Valentine’s Day, I changed up the colors of my card using a Basic Black card stock with Rose Red flowers and patterned paper from the Love Blossoms Designer Series Paper Stack. The heart is cut from Whisper White card stock.
I used a VersaMark pad to stamp flowers on my card base and then embossed them with Clear Emboss Powder.
Red sequins from the Brights Sequin Assortment and Basic Pearl Jewels completed the card, which is heading to my daughter in Texas!
Thanks for visiting. To continue with the hop, please refer to the Blog Hop Line-up below. We hope to see you on next month’s Pals Blog Hop!
