A week from today is the closing for our new house. We’ve been packing for the past few weeks and so far I’ve avoided packing away the majority of my Stampin’ Up! things. I might be in denial, but at least I have my stamps and inks with me!
But, sometime between tomorrow and this weekend everything will be boxed up. The new house is actually an old house that needs some work, something I’m looking forward to. Because of this, once we move in, it may be a while before I can unpack my craft room. Between unpacking, arranging things, and trying to get my plants in the ground (along with working full time), the days will be filled with activity.
In the meantime, I’m going to squeeze in every minute of stamping that I can!
This weekend, I was able to break open my Sprinkles of Life stamp set. This set is from the new catalog, so it’s not available to be ordered until June 2. I love his stamp set because it’s so versatile. Mostly I love it because $3 of every set sold benefits the Ronald McDonald House. It’s a great cause, although if you have ever had to use it, or have known someone who has, you already know this.
I chose this set for the current Pals Paper Arts Challenge PPA 252, a sketch challenge that looks like this:
Although most of what I used was from the Sprinkles of Life set, the sentiment is from Sheltering Tree. I love mixing and matching sets to make them go even farther. It’s a great idea to have a reference of all the sentiments in your collection. You never know when the right words are on a completely different set than the one you’re working with!
Note: I wasn’t sure what color would go with the Garden Green ink and Trim a Tree paper (on the Clearance Rack now) I used, so I pulled out my Color Coach and found out Calypso Coral would work as a base. I recently ordered this must-have tool since it’s on the Retiring List. And, since I found out that it won’t carry over to the new catalog, it makes it even more precious to me.
Get yours before it’s gone!
Here’s what I used to make this card:
