A PPA Pick and Weekly Deals!

So I started my morning by locking my purse and keys in my car at work right in the midst of an April mini blizzard. It was kind of serene being alone in the parking lot while I waited for my rescuer, the snow gently falling on my face. That was until the snow turned into a hard, frozen type of snow that was whipped into a frenzy by the wind, shooting ice pellets into my eyes.

But, I made it in OK, and am thankful to be in a warm place on this frigid day.

My day got even better when I saw this card was chosen as a PPA Pick from Pals Paper Arts!:

It uses one of my all-time favorite Stampin’ Up! products, the Striped Scallop Thinlits Die. I’ve used this die on multiple projects, including this one:

I love that the die can change the look of any card depending on the color of the die cut and how it’s used. It can be flipped up, used sideways, used as a border, or to add interest to a card.

I always feel I get my money’s worth when I can get a lot of use from one product.

Speaking of money, the Striped Scallop Die is one of the Weekly Deals! Since we don’t yet know what products will be carried over in the new catalog coming out in June, now is the time to snap up those things lingering on your wish list. And, don’t forget to check out the Clearance Rack for even more deals!

  2. How do you get the striped scallop thinlits to “stick” to the card? Do you have to glue lots of different places or what? I like the look a lot, but it looks like a lot of work for one card, much less 20!

    1. Hi Karen! I used the Liquid Multipurpose Adhesive and lightly glued along the edges of the die cut, then dotted the inside here and there. Another way would be to use the Adhesive Transfer Sheets, which I didn’t have. After doing the first couple and getting the flow of the glue down, it went a lot quicker.
