Baby Bumblebee and PPA 244

IMG_0827

One of my friends recently had a baby, a sweet little boy she named Charlie. I wanted to make a card to send along with a gift, but I was a little stumped because she isn’t a traditional fluffy-animals-and-pastels kind of person.

I realized the Baby Bumblebee stamp would be the perfect reflection of the homesteading lifestyle she and her husband lead.

If you’ve see other projects I’ve made, you’ll realize this is very similar to the Seed Packet Card I made, right down to the paper choices. I just felt the colors would be perfect for this card, so why change them? I love it when I can CASE myself!

I’m also entering this in the PPA244 Sketch Challenge, which looks like this:

Here’s what I used to make this card (in addition to Sizzix Scallop Framelits bought through Sizzix.com):

  1. Love this baby bumblebee and it sounds like you have a perfect home for this card! Yellow and crumb cake is a sweet combination. Love the layers and textures. Thanks for playing along with the PPA this week!!
