One of the reasons I started this blog was to challenge myself to create more. I haven’t stamped in so long and styles have changed quite a bit since then. I’m pretty sure the last time I stamped I was wearing high-waisted mom jeans, listening to Alanis Morrisette and bitterly wondering where my youth went.
Anyway… I digress! The point is, I’m back!
Here is my first challenge entry. It’s for The Paper Players challenge #PP232.
This challenge by Joanne is supposed to feature a bird. Well, my entire project room is decorated in birds. I love them; they have personal meaning to me. With all that, though, I don’t own any sets that are bird themed. So, I settled on this cute duckling from Stampin’ Up’s One Tag Fits All set.
Other SU stamp sets I used were: Banner Banter and Banner Blast. Colors were So Saffron, Soft Sky and Pistachio Pudding. I colored the sweet duckling with my new Daffodil Delight Blendabilities that I earned through the Stampin’ Up! Sale-A-Bration promotion. Other products used were the Banner Punch, Scallop Circle Framelits, Top Note Bigz Die, circle punch, corner punch, Decorative Dots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Stampin’ Dimensionals and Glue Dots.
This was a fun project. It was the first time I used a couple of these sets and colors, so I guess stepping out of my comfort zone has already paid off!
